Information on Covid-19

Dear STAMPEDE participants,

The current recommendations from the NHS are:

  • Anyone currently receiving chemotherapy to treat a solid cancer is strongly advised to stay at home at all times and avoid face-to-face contact with other people for at least the next 12 weeks.  STAMPEDE participants currently having treatment with SOC Docetaxel should consider following this advice.
  • The STAMPEDE team do not believe any of the other trial treatments will increase your risk of catching Covid-19 or make an infection more serious if you do catch it.  If you are on any of these treatments in the STAMPEDE trial you should continue “social distancing” as recommended for the general population

The doctors based at your local hospital know your individual medical situation, and the availability of local services,  please contact them if you have any concerns and wish to discuss an individual treatment plan for you.

We are working hard to make sure your supply of trial medication is not affected during this time, though this may be a possibility. Hospitals may be able to post/courier trial treatments to you.  Again your local team will be able to advise you of the plans they have in place.

We hope that you all stay well, and will be monitoring the situation continuously. We will post further updates on this page as the events unfold.
